Big, Sexy Waves
What you'll need:
- Clip-in hair extensions (optional)
- Curling iron
- Hairspray
1. Clip in your hair extensions (not sure how? Don't fret, girl - we've got you. Here's a step-by-step tutorial). Karin is wearing her 20" 220g Dirty Blonde Luxies to achieve more volume and length for this look. Although this step is totally optional, it is highly recommended in order to really achieve those va-va-voom big, sexy, voluminous waves.
2. Take your beloved curling iron and start curling one side of your hair in small chunks. We recommend to curl away from your face as it helps create a more natural look.
3. Once you're finished curling a section, pull on the curl in order to help loosen the hair - we don't want tight pageant curls tonight, ladies.
4. Don't forget the other side! Repeat instructions until every piece is fully curled.
5. Run your fingers through your curls to break and loosen them up.
6. Grab your hairspray, stretch your arm out and spray. We don't want crunchy curls on date night, so distance is key. You want to spray just enough product so that your curls stay in place all night.
Voila, beautiful! You're all done. And we must say - you look lovely.
Stacked Side Braid
What you'll need:
- Clip-in hair extensions (optional)
- A couple of clear hair elastics
- One bobby pin
1. Clip in your hair extensions. Again, this step is totally optional but it gives you more hair to work with so you can achieve a more voluminous braid. Interested in checking out our collection? Click here.
2. Bring all of your hair to one side of your face, and take a small chunk of hair and put it aside for now. We'll get back to that one later.
3. Braid your hair in a regular three-stand braid and secure the end with a clear hair elastic.
4. Your braid should be fairly tight right now, but we want to loosen it up. Pull on the hair to fan it out.
5. Remember that chunk of hair we put aside? We're going to bring that one back in the picture to finalize the look. Braid the hair in another regular three strand braid, and tie the two braids together at the very ends with another clear hair elastic.
6. Take a bobby pin and pin the two braids together towards the top, so they both remain secured in place.
And there you have it - our stacked braid! Looks super intricate, but only involves two easy three strand braids. Trick your date this Valentine's Day into believing you're a braid genius *wink*.
Voluminous Bun
What you'll need:
- Clip-in hair extensions (optional)
- Hair elastic
- Hair brush
- A few bobby pins
- Hair spray
1. Clip in your hair extensions upside down (so that it pulls into an updo easier). Have we mentioned this step is optional? We personally love to clip in a few wefts when creating a bun or updo look, as it gives you so much more hair to work with. Want to see some examples? Click here.
2. Gather your hair and tie it up in a high ponytail and brush it out.
3. Gently twist your hair around the base to create a bun and secure it in place with a few bobby pins.
4. Spray hairspray to ensure any fly-aways remain in place and to hold your bun together.
Andddd you're done! It was easy as that, and girl - you look GOOD.
