So, you've almost made it through the first month of back-to-school. Are you waking up early, packing a home-made lunch, or getting in that morning exercise like you promised yourself?
If you resonate more with this duck - we're here to help. Waking up early to make yourself look presentable can be hard, despite the promises you make to yourself the night before. In this week's tutorial, we've teamed up with Alexandra Beuter to bring you 8 super quick and easy 2-minute (no, we're not kidding) hairstyles. Sit back and enjoy the video below, or keep scrolling down for a step-by-step tutorial on how to achieve each hairstyle.
In this tutorial, Alexandra is wearing her 180g Chocolate Brown Seamless Luxies for extra volume and length. Each hairstyle, however, can be worn with or without hair extensions - it's your call!
#1: Half Updo Bun
- Part a section of hair towards the top of your head and gather it back and secure into a ponytail with a hair elastic. Optional: For additional volume in this Half Updo Bun, clip in two stacked 1-clip wefts in the area you will be gathering into a ponytail.
- Wrap the ponytail around in a bun, and while doing so loosely spin the hair to give the bun more texture.
- Secure bun with bobby pins.
#2: Reverse Dutch Side Braid
- Take a section of hair towards one side of your face and begin braiding this section into a reverse dutch braid. Optional: For additional volume in the braid, you can stack two 1-clip wefts in the same section of hair prior to braiding.
- Secure the braid at the end with a hair elastic. Pull on the braid to fan it out and voluminize the look.
#3: Dutch Side Braid Ponytail
- Using the same Reverse Side Dutch Braid, simply pull the rest of your hair and the braid to one side, and secure in a low ponytail.
- For a more tousled look, you can take out a few face framing hair pieces.
#4: Fishtail Pigtails
- Part your hair down the middle and section your hair off into two. Secure both sections of hair into low pigtails.
- Fishtail braid each section of hair and secure with an elastic.
- Fan out the braid to make it more full and voluminous.
#5: Three-Strand Braid Pigtails
- Part your hair down the middle and section your hair off into two. Secure both sections of hair into low pigtails.
- Create a regular three strand braid on each section of hair, and secure with an elastic.
- Fan out the braid to make the hairstyle more full and voluminous.
#6: Three-Strand Braid High Ponytail
- Pull your hair back into a high ponytail.
- Braid your hair in a simple three strand braid, and secure with a hair elastic.
- Fan out the braid to make the look more full and voluminous.
- Pull face framing pieces/baby hairs for a more natural look.
#7: Three-Strand Braid Bun
- Pull your hair back in a high ponytail.
- Braid your hair in a simple three strand braid.
- Instead of securing at the ends, wrap your hair around in a bun and secure with an elastic.
- To ensure the braid does not unravel, secure bobby pins in bun.
- Pull out face framing pieces/baby hairs for a more casual look.
#8: Twist-Through Ponytail Braid
- Secure your hair in a low side ponytail.
- Add in another hair elastic about a quarter of the way down from the first hair elastic.
- Create a hole through the section of hair in-between the two elastics, and wrap the rest of your hair through that hole and downwards. Continue this step with another section of hair in the ponytail - you can leave it at two or continue all the way down.
- Secure with a hair elastic at the bottom.
