What does a typical day at Luxy look like for you?
I start off my morning by checking to see if any inventory items need to have any backorder tags placed. I will check to see when orders are being shipped and then I will update the Shopify site. After, I normally check on our backorder reports and communicate with the Customer Service team for any updates.
Once that is all done, I get to work on personal projects throughout the rest of the day, which allows me to learn something new everyday and allows me to have flexibility within my own work schedule!
Describe your WFH outfit
Anything comfortable for sure! Leggings or sweatpants paired with a baggy t-shirt is what I mostly wear when I’m at home.
Why did you decide to pursue a career in this field?
I have always enjoyed the analytical and problem-solving aspect of doing an undergrad in Biology, but knew that it was missing a collaborative component to it. That is when I decided to go into Business, where I knew that I could apply my analytical skills to a field that was more people-oriented. I also used to watch Luxy Hair videos on Youtube growing up, so seeing that I could apply my passion for business to a company that I've looked up to in my life was really special!
Who is your hair inspo and why?
Sazan Hendrix! She always has the best hairstyles that match perfectly with her makeup and outfits!
Favourite thing about working at Luxy?
Definitely the people! Everyone on the Luxy team is so positive and pushes you to work at your best which allows me to grow in a personal and professional manner.

What are 3 things you are grateful for and why?
My family for supporting me and being there for me during my lows, my friends for giving me the best laughs, and lastly, music for inspiring me everyday.
What’s the best piece of advice you have received?
That it is so important to take care of yourself – The most important relationship in your life is the relationship you have with yourself.
What is your favourite snack?
Cheese, prosciutto, and crackers!
Describe your self care routine.
I am super into skincare, so I love to spend my time doing a nice face mask and following up with a nice skincare routine. Then, I like to order some good comfort food and watch a movie in bed!
Share your haircare routine!
My mom recently got me into trying Kerastase's shampoo, conditioner, and heat protectant, so I have been trying that and I absolutely love it! I'm also trying to get into hair masks too.
What was the first Luxy product that you tried and your experience?
The Luxy signature curling wand which I absolutely love!
What are your go to Luxy products for everyday and for special occasions?
The hair curler has been the best for both special occasions as well as a cute casual look ! If I wanted to do natural waves with my hair or dramatic curls, I'm able to achieve both these looks with the curler.
Which social platform is your favourite and who do you enjoy following the most and why?
Currently, I am obsessed with Tik Tok – you can learn so many cool hacks on there, and it's great for lifting your spirits up if you ever need a laugh!
What was the last book that you read that made a huge impact on your life?
The Life of Pi by Yann Martel
What is your daily mantra or words to live by?
Everything gets better with time.
What was the best compliment you have ever received?
When my friends tell me about how I was able to give helpful advice or how I was able to comfort them in times of need, it feels great to know that I was able to make someone feel better.

People who chew with their mouth open haha!

I'm a Gemini – I would describe myself as outgoing, flexible, and adaptable!

My Canon 6D camera, my phone, and sunscreen (because you can't forget about skincare!)
