Paris...the city of lights, love, and the fashion capital of the world. Playing host to Paris Fashion Week every year, hundreds of supermodels, socialites, celebrities, and the ultra-fabulous flock to the city to celebrate the finest in fashion. High fashion designers including Chanel, Gucci, Alexander McQueen and Miu Miu unveil their Spring/Summer 2019 collections at exclusive runway shows held at grandiose venues like the Carrousel du Louvre, Palais Royal, and Grand Palais, while uber chic after-parties teeming with celebrities take place until the wee hours of the morning. Paris Fashion Week is truly a spectacular event, that most of us can only dream of attending.
Our beautiful friend, content creator and hairstyle expert Josie was one of those lucky enough to visit Paris during Fashion Week. Of course, an event as magnificent as Paris Fashion Week deserves the hair, makeup, and outfit to match. Josie shares her getting ready process for Paris Fashion Week with us this week, and we're passing along all her hair and makeup tips to you!
In a city as romantic as Paris, it's only fitting that Josie chose classic Hollywood glam curls with a deep side part, classic red lips and a winged eyeliner to tie the whole look together. Check out the video below to learn how to recreate Josie's romantic, glamorous look, with a sneak peek at an exclusive Paris Fashion Week runway show inside.
To achieve those big, beautiful, glamorous curls, Josie uses her 220g Dirty Blonde Luxy Hair extensions, which add extra length and volume to her hair.

Step 1
Start off by getting your makeup just right. Josie chose the iconic black winged eyeliner, paired with a classic red lip.
Step 2
Start by creating a deep side part, then clip in your hair extensions. Josie usually stacks her wefts, which adds more volume to the bottom portion of her hair. If you are looking for fullness throughout your hair, however, you can clip your wefts in one by one, as shown here.
Stack a 2 clip weft and a 3 clip together, then clip it in at the nape of your neck. Next, stack both 4 clip wefts on each other and clip that in a few inches above the first weft, at the widest part of your head. Clip a 2 clip weft at the temple on the side where you have parted your hair, and the other 3 clip weft in on the other side where you hair is more full. If you need additional thickness in any areas, you can go ahead and clip your 1 clip wefts in to ensure that all the hair blends seamlessly with your natural hair.
Step 3
The key to this classic curl hairstyle is to have all the front pieces curled and sculpted perfectly, so we're going to start off by curling the front section first. Start off with a section of hair at the very front of the fuller side of your head and curl the hair toward your face, starting at the roots. Make sure every bit of hair is curled around your curling wand, to really get that beautiful spiral curl. Then, carefully remove the hair from the wand, keep the curl intact in your hand, and bobby pin the curl down to cool.
Step 4
Repeat step 3 all over the same side. Once you have curled and pinned all the hair, wait 5 minutes and release the curls from their bobby pins except any curls by your face.
Step 5
Now, you're going to curl the side of your head where your part is. Start at the front again, this time curling your hair away from your face. This will ensure that all the curls around your head are actually curled the same way. Curl and pin the hair as you did before.
Step 6
Once all the hair has been curled and pinned, add a spritz of hairspray and leave the curls to cool while you remove the curls by your face on the other side, which you had left pinned earlier. Brush out the curls and add a light spritz of hairspray.
Step 7
Unpin all the remaining curls and brush them out.
Step 9
As a final step, you want to make sure all your curls are facing the same way on both sides. Take all your hair on the first side you worked on and lightly twist your hair toward your face. Take all the hair on the other side and lightly twist your hair away from your face, setting up the curls as you like.
That's it! This is a beautiful, retro, classic inspired look, perfect for a day and evening in Paris. Bon voyage!
