The Faces Behind Luxy Hair: Tricia, Senior Customer Experience Specialist

Stumbling upon Luxy Hair by accident, Tricia says her first few interactions with Luxy Hair blew her away. She says she knew she had found an incredible organization because of the high value the company placed on people, culture, and growth. After seeing how passionate everyone at the company was, Tricia says she considers it her own personal miracle to have found Luxy Hair.

The Customer Experience team are dynamic problem solvers— whatever problem our customers encounter is our job to handle, from color matches, hair care advice, order inquiries, and social media interactions. The best and most important part is that regardless of the case, we are all dedicated to finding a solution and giving our customers amazing hair days.

What does a typical day at the office look like for you?

Every day, I login, say good morning to our team and then read any updates that have been posted. The rest of my day is spent working with our customers, helping them choose their perfect Luxy match and ensuring they receive their sets. You can catch me by email, chat, on Facebook, or Instagram!

Where are you from?

I was born in Cambridge, Ontario, however, my heart definitely lives in Orlando, Florida.

What was the best compliment you’ve received?

I think the best compliment I ever received was that I’ll make a great mother one day. I think that says a lot about what type of person someone believes you are.

What are three hair products you can’t live without?

1. Wet Brush. I cannot go a single day without it! Have long hair and don’t feel like accidentally ripping it out? Wet Brush. End of story.

2. It’s A 10 Miracle Leave-In Conditioner. Love a multitasker!

3. Moroccan Oil. It's silky soft, and it smells good. I’m into it.

What is your favourite day of the week?

Friday is obviously the best day. It’s a day to wrap things up and get things done, but also is full of potential for the weekend. It somehow manages to be both a beginning and an ending, and that’s a philosophical mess I can get behind.

What’s your WFH routine/set up?

I’ve really gotten into plants lately, so I have a ton of succulents and sunlight in my workspace! I’m not a coffee drinker, so I usually start my day with cold water and cereal or a bagel. I love a meditation break, and definitely can’t end my day unless the inbox is clear.

If magic was real, which spell would you learn first?

Tough question! If we’re talking Harry Potter, then I definitely want to learn to apparate (if that counts as a spell). Otherwise, I think I would want to be able to turn myself into an animal, likely a dolphin which are obviously the coolest animals.

What’s something people wouldn't guess about you when first meeting you?

I am so uncontrollably loud. I don’t even notice it happening; in my house we just scream to communicate and the loudest is who gets listened to. There have been so many times where someone was like “...you don’t have to scream, I am literally right here.”

Pineapple on pizza… yes or no?

NO. First of all, fruit does not belong on pizza. Secondly, I refuse to acknowledge tomatoes as a fruit. Finally, sweet/salty is a no for me regardless, I can’t even eat chocolate with peanut butter. Thank you for coming to my TedTalk.
