What does a typical day at Luxy look like for you?
Every day is different for me but if it’s anything marketing or email marketing I’ll be a part of it! I typically work on all our email marketing campaigns, and help with writing for the blog every month. I definitely get to help with any marketing ideas and strategies!
Describe your WFH outfit
Sometimes it’s pajamas….sometimes it’s sweatpants. I haven’t worn jeans yet….
Why did you decide to pursue a career in this field?
My love for marketing came from a young age, my mom told me as a kid I LOVED commercials, when everyone else complained I loved to watch them. I think marketing is a way to connect with the world and individuals and speak to them. The creative side of marketing is what got me in this field and I always love coming up with new ideas and storylines for campaigns!
Who is your hair inspo and why?
Kim Kardashian is my hair inspo for life. But I definitely think she kills the hair game! Chris Appleton and Kim are such a strong duo for setting hair trends.
Favourite thing about working at Luxy?
The culture! Our team is the sweetest, most positive team, and it’s infectious. Everyone has their own unique personality and we all genuinely feel like friends. I love working and every morning I’m excited for my day!
What are 3 things you are grateful for and why?
I’m always practicing gratitude and I’ve made it a ritual to say 3 things I’m grateful for every night before bed. My top 3 things that never change are; my health, my mom, and my dog Fritz!
What’s the best piece of advice you have received?
Eminem says: “'Cause sometimes you just feel tired, feel weak and when you feel weak, you feel like you wanna just give up, but you gotta search within you, try to find that inner strength, and just pull that out of you. And get that motivation to not give up, and not be a quitter, no matter how bad you wanna just fall flat on your face and collapse”. - I live by this.
What is your favourite snack?
A spoonful of Nutella! After dinner of course.
Describe your self-care routine
My self-care routine starts with a workout. Once I’ve done my work out I’ll have a long hot shower, put on a face mask, and watch my favorite girly movies (SATC, Breakfast At Tiffany’ and Sweet Home Alabama). If I’m having an energetic self-care routine I love going to Homesense and splurging on a Starbucks to sip on while I shop!
What are your go-to Luxy products for every day and for special occasions?
My go-to Luxy Products for everyday & special occasions are my 24" Classic Clip-in extensions & my Signature Luxy curler! I feel like a celebrity when I use both.
Which social platform is your favorite and who do you enjoy following the most and why?
I’m definitely an Instagram lover! I love the content people produce and love seeing and connecting with so many different walks of life.
What was the last book that you read that made a huge impact on your life?
The last book I read is one that I continue to read over and over - “The Five People You Meet In Heaven” by Mitch Albom. This book gave me a special outlook on life and taught me that life is so magical and that every person you meet comes to you for a reason.
What is your daily mantra or words to live by?
I truly practice living by the saying “everything happens for a reason.” I believe when things are meant to be they will come to you, and if not, it wasn’t meant to be!
What’s your horoscope sign and how would you describe yourself in 3 words?
My horoscope sign is Leo! I would describe myself as a firecracker who's loving and charismatic!
If you could only bring 3 items with you on a deserted island what would they be and why?
You guys already know…..my jar of Nutella would be number 1. Then I would bring soap because I can’t stand feeling dirty, and my phone so I can order UberEats!
What is your love language?
My love language is definitely gifts & quality time! I love surprises of any caliber ( a hand-picked bouquet or something over-the-top) and I definitely need time spent with my favorite people to feel all the love!
