• How to curl with the Luxy Hair Signature Curler
  
  
  

  #1 Hair should be clean, dry, or nearly dry, & free of tangles before using.

  #2 Set the wand to your desired temperature, based on your hair type here. The Luxy Hair Signature Curler heats up within 30 seconds. Test a small section of your hair before using it.

  #3 Wear the heat protectant glove on the hand you will use to wrap your hair around the wand.

  #4 Hold the wand over your head with the cool touch tip pointing downwards & wrap a section of hair around the barrel. For tighter curls, wrap a thinner section of hair. For looser curls, wrap a thicker section of hair. Curls will vary depending on your hair length.

  #5 Finish with the end of the hair section against the tip of the wand. Hold each curl for 5-10 seconds (depending on the thickness of your hair). Slide the wand out to release the curl.

  #6 Repeat steps #5 and #6 until your head is fully styled. Gently tug on the curl or lightly brush it out using a wide-toothed comb if loose curls are desired.

  #7 Use your favorite hairspray to complete the look and hold the style.

  Your Luxy Hair Signature Curler is virtually maintenance-free. It contains no user-serviceable parts and no lubrication is needed.

  User Maintenance Instructions

  • Keep all vents and openings clear of dust, dirt, & hairspray.
    
    
  • If cleaning becomes necessary, disconnect the Luxy Hair Signature Curler from the power source, let it cool, & wipe the exterior with a dry or lightly damp cloth.
    
    
  • Do not use sharp or abrasive detergents or corrosive products on the wand.
    
    
  • When not in use it should be disconnected, allowed to cool, & stored in a safe, dry location out of reach of children.
    
    
  • You can machine wash & dry the heat protectant glove.
    
    
  • Do not jerk or strain cord at plug connections. Allow the cord to hang or lie loose and straight at the point of entry into the wand.
    
    
  • Never allow the cord to be pulled or twisted. Never wrap the cord around the Luxy Hair Signature Curler since this will cause the cord to wear prematurely and break. Damage will occur at the high flex point of entry into the wand, causing it to rupture and short circuit. Store the cord loosely coiled. If the cord becomes twisted, untwist it prior to use. Inspect the cord frequently for damage. Stop use immediately if damage is visible or if the unit stops or operates intermittently.

  What comes with each set of Limited Edition Luxy Hair Clips?

  Each set includes two hair clips. They come packed in a 100% Organic Cotton Pouch that you can use as a dust bag to store them away.

  How do I use them?

  They can be used the same way you would with a bobby pin. All you need to do is lift the top part of the hair clip and slide it into a small section of your hair to secure. If any of your hair strands are not secured within the clip, you can gently hold the clip and brush downwards through the section of hair with a comb or brush to clean up the appearance.

  We recommend sliding the clip straight up towards the top of your head or at a slight angle toward the back of your head. We don't recommend inserting it completely downwards because your hair will fall out of the clip. If you wanted to accessorize a larger section of hair, you can use two clips to secure this section down or use a small twist tie to secure the section of hair and then slide one single clip in.

  • After wearing, place them back into the dust bag provided to avoid oxidization of the metal.

  What hairstyles can I create?

  When it comes to hair clips, placement is everything. We recommend inserting your clip in a manner that can help highlight your eyes or cheekbones, such as just above the ear with a low side-part. Don’t be afraid to use more than one clip and align them to secure more hair, instead of trying to close a bunch of hair into just one clip. There are several ways to incorporate the hair clips into your hairstyle. Here are a few ways:

  • Part your hair down the middle or off to the side. Place a clip above your ear for a simple and subtle option. For more of a statement look, place two clips on one side instead.
  • Part your hair down the middle and place a clip on each side a bit higher up (above your eyebrow).
  • Add a twist or a braid to your hair and use a clip to pin it back.
  • Keep long bangs and layers out of your face by using a clip or two to pin them back.

• Will the gold exterior on the Deluxe Styler rust if I place wet extensions on it?

  We do not recommend that you leave freshly washed extensions on your Deluxe Styler as product residue, such as shampoo, can cause the surface to rust. As well, water prevents the stainless steel from producing a layer of chromium oxide that normally prevents rust from forming.

  In order to prevent this, always clean any leftover product residue and wipe it clean and dry after each use. If these directions are followed, your Deluxe Styler will remain in perfect condition!

  The Deluxe Styler can suction onto flat surfaces such as mirror, metal, window, shower tiles and tables. Just about anything!

  To mount the Deluxe Styler, follow the steps below:

  1. Ensure the surface you are mounting to and the suction cups are smooth and clean.
  2. Hold the back of the Deluxe Styler and press firmly up against the wall to squeeze the air between the surface and the suction cups.
  3. Let go gently to ensure the cups have suctioned to the wall securely. If you run into any issues with the cups suctioning, you can spritz a bit of water to the area.

  To remove the Deluxe Styler from the surface, simply peel the edges of the suction cups with your nails until they pop off.

• What do I do if the suction on the Deluxe Styler is not sticking?

  We’re sorry to hear that you’re having trouble getting your Luxy Hair Deluxe Styler to stick. Below are a few common reasons as to why this could be happening.
  

  1. It was applied onto a surface that has texture and is not smooth (always be sure to apply it to a flat surface)
  2. Your surface wasn’t properly cleaned (always be sure to quickly clean it down with rubbing alcohol and let it completely dry)
  3. A pocket of air was trapped when suctioning it to the surface (which will easily loosen the suction)

  If your surface is smooth and flat and has been properly cleaned and you are still having trouble, please try spraying a bit of water on the surface so that the suction cup will latch on better.
