Can you sleep in Halo® hair extensions?
We do not recommend sleeping with your Luxy Hair Halo® extensions in, as this can be quite uncomfortable, and may cause tangles within your extensions and your own hair. Since they only take a few minutes to apply, and seconds to remove, please do this daily to maintain the integrity of the hair.

Can you wash Halo® hair extensions?
Just like your own hair, Luxy Hair Halo® hair extensions can be washed, blow-dried and styled using heat tools since they are made from 100% remy human hair.

Quality hair requires quality hair care. We recommend using sulfate and alcohol-free products made especially for dry and damaged hair to keep your hair extensions looking their best. We also recommend to always use a heat protectant spray prior to styling and to set your heat tools to a low heat setting of 120C/250F. Anything higher runs the risk of damaging the hair.

How long do Halo® hair extensions last?

The lifespan of Halo® hair extensions will depend on how well you take care of them, what products you use on them, and how often you wear them. With proper care and regular wear, Luxy Hair extensions last anywhere from 3-6 months up to a year or even longer. How do I use the Halo® Volume Bundle with short hair?
Below is a great example of how our beautiful friend, Kaitlin, adds length to her short hair using the Luxy Hair Halo Volume Bundle. It consists of:
- One 140 gram 12" Halo weft
- Two 20 gram 2-clip wefts
- One 45 gram 4-clip Classic Volumizer Weft
One of the biggest giveaways that you are wearing hair extensions is the bottom layers of your own hair that show underneath the extensions. To ensure the most seamless blend with your short hair you must first section off the bottom of your hair (from the top of your ear to ear), braid it (or tye it back using an elastic band), and pin it securely against your head.
1. Apply your Halo weft as normal. Click here for step-by-step instructions on how to do this.
2. Next, part your hair (similar to how you parted your hair before applying the Halo) slightly above where you placed your Halo weft. Clip your 4-clip Volumizer Weft along where you parted your hair.
3. Then, secure a 2-clip weft at the temple of your head about two inches above your ear, fastening the clip closest to your hairline first. Do the same on the other side with the remaining 2-clip weft.

Can I do ponytails/updos using Halo® hair extensions?

Halo® hair extensions are suitable for half up half down hairstyles, and low ponytails!

Do Halo® hair extensions come with a tester weft?

Yes, Halo® hair extensions have a tester weft stored in the top compartment of the box. This weft can be used to determine if the shade is a good match. If the shade is not an ideal match, we are more than happy to accommodate a return or exchange as long as the main compartment of your Luxy box has not been opened and the golden security seal has not been tampered with.

How does the Halo® hair extension wire not show?

Since the Halo® hair extension wire is thin and clear it's virtually undetectable in your hair! You'll also add a layer of hair over the wire to conceal it.

Do Halo® hair extensions damage your hair?

No, the Halo® hair extension weft does not hurt or cause damage to your hair. You will feel added weight on your scalp, however, this will not cause you any discomfort as the weight of the weft is evenly distributed across the crown of your head. Luxy Halo® hair extensions are lightweight and super comfortable!

How do I choose between Clip-In and Halo® hair extensions?
Halo® hair extensions are a lower maintenance alternative to our Clip-In extensions. Instead of having to clip in multiple wefts to ensure a seamless blend, all you need to do is apply the Halo® hair extension and two 2-clip wefts to the side of your temples in a matter of seconds. Halo® hair extensions are also great for those with thin and fragile hair and for those who have a sensitive scalp and find it hard wearing clip-in extensions.

While both clip-in and Halo® hair extensions deliver the same beautiful results, the main difference lies in the difference in application techniques. For example, do you enjoy spending extra time on your hair or are you looking for a quicker solution to longer, fuller hair? Do you enjoy wearing your hair in different styles such as ponytails and updos or do you enjoy wearing your hair down for the most part? Are Halo® hair extensions made of human hair?
Halo® hair extensions are made of 100% human remy hair. How do I apply Halo® hair extensions?
STEP 1: BRUSH YOUR HAIR

Brush your hair thoroughly to get rid of tangles. Then, brush out your Halo® hair extension and each 2-clip weft gently using our Loop Hair Extensions Brush, or a wide-toothed comb or paddle brush.

STEP 2: SECTION OFF YOUR HAIR

Section off your hair at the crown, tying it into a bun at the top of your head. Leave out the front sections of hair that frame your face to ensure a natural blend.

STEP 3: APPLY YOUR HALO® HAIR EXTENSION

Choosing the wire length that best fits the size of your head, position your Halo® hair extension over your bun where you parted your hair. Like a headband, it should sit comfortably and securely above your ears.

STEP 4: SECURE A 2-CLIP WEFT AT EACH TEMPLE

For some extra oomph around the sides of your face, secure a 2-clip weft at the temple of your head about two inches above your ear, fastening the clip closest to your hairline first. Do the same on the other side with the remaining 2-clip weft.

STEP 5: BLEND FOR HEAVENLY RESULTS

Take down your bun and brush through your hair to smooth everything out ensuring your real hair is covering all the wefts and the Halo® hair extension. If you’re not using our Loop Hair Extensions Brush, be extra cautious when brushing over the wire of the halo to avoid snagging.

The Halo® hair extension set comes with nylon wires pre-included in 7 different sizes so you can fit the weft perfectly to your head and ensure it is secured.

Is it possible for the Halo® hair extensions to slip/fall out?
No, the Halo® hair extensions will not slip or fall out of your hair if applied correctly. This is why we added the extra clips on either side of the weft for added security if needed. After you apply the Halo® hair extension, the weight of your hair laying on top will also help keep it in place. You can whip your hair back and forth without any worries of the extensions falling out!

How do Halo® hair extensions work?
Halo® hair extensions are a one-and-done method to achieve longer, fuller hair. They’re perfect for first-time users and simple enough to apply for everyday wear in just a few minutes.

Our 20" Halo® hair extension comes with a 10" wide weft that is 140 grams of hair. It comes with two bonus 2-clip wefts (20 grams each) to help blend in the hair that frames your face. The weight of the Halo and two 2-clip wefts is 180 grams. Our 16" Halo® hair extension comes with a 10" wide weft that is 110 grams of hair. The two bonus 2-clip wefts are 5 grams each and the weight of the Halo® hair extension and two 2-clip wefts is 140 grams.

Luxy Hair Halo® hair extensions sit on top of your head using a nylon wire that is custom fit to your head size. There are two clips (one on either side) placed about 1.5 inches from the end of the Halo weft to ensure a secure fit. Also, after you put in your extensions, the weight of your hair laying on top will also help to keep it in place. Be rest assured - you can flip your hair around without the extensions coming out!
